It’s AAPI Heritage month and no one cares this year but I’m going to try anyways 💜 My 8 yr old son Dash is a baker and the first Asian American kid author distributed by Simon & Schuster published by @bitty.bao He’s been baking since 3. His videos have gained 100MM+ views on YouTube. He started a micro bakery donating money to @nokidhungry . He recently signed books at Children Hospital Los Angeles 📚 @childrensla along with other amazing kids’ book authors (@bshum79 and @andrealoney pictured below). Yesterday, @bitty.bao kid-author & baker, Dash (son of @hellowonderful_co ), illustrator & music lover, Jordan (@thejollity ), and our very own @luluycheng joined @childrensla in their annual Literally Healing Children’s Book Week Event. A wonderfully full day in the company of other Author/Illustrator heavy hitters, sharing love with hospitalized children and their families, and signing books to gift to the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles community. Literally Healing at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is an innovative reading program that gifts families at CHLA more than 65,000 books annually. During a period when literacy opportunities can be hard to access, Literally Healing helps strengthen reading skills and provides activities, events and story times for patients and their families. We love the mission of Literally Healing and feel so incredibly grateful to be part of their meaningful event every year! 📚💕

From the moment he picked up a mixing bowl at age 3, Dash has been unstoppable. Over the last 5 years, he's been sharing his baking creations on YouTube and Instagram, racking up millions of views along the way. But wait, it gets even sweeter! Dash recently landed a book deal, and his debut book Bitty Baker: 100 Chef Words published in February 2026 through bilingual publisher Bitty Bao, distributed by Simon & Schuster. That makes Dash the first Asian kid author distributed by Simon & Schuster! When he's not in the kitchen or on camera, Dash is diving into science, math, and video animation. He joined our school in August 2025 and has thrived thanks to the flexibility to learn at his own pace while still pursuing his passions. Shoutout to Ms. Novack for being such an encouraging and supportive teacher! Whether he becomes a master baker, a scientist, or both, we have absolutely no doubt Dash will change the world. We are so proud to have him in our community! 🌱

@curiouspapaya 's story throwback brought back such a smile that I just had to reshare here! We loved when Amy custom designed some crocheted baos for us wayyy back in 2022 (when we only had 6 titles!). It seems like an eternity ago now. We used to take these cuties with us to our pop-ups and they were always a huge eye catcher! We love when small businesses can join forces & share & project the love!

When your crazy ideas come to life! It's so funny, when we first designed our wooden dragon pull-along toy we weren't quite sure it would find its audience. We were in the middle of a ton of summer pop-ups, many being dragon boat races and festivals and we thought...hmmm...that could be cute... so we started the design process; sketching, prototypes, samples, color choices, packaging. And even when we held the samples in our hands for the first time (this video) and saw it radiating adorable toddling fun...we assumed this would be a one print wonder. But wow. We couldn't anticipate the joy that we'd feel selling out and restocking again! You all reaaaaaallly love our dragon boat pull along toy and we're so excited to announce we've gone back for a second batch to fully stock up before the big holiday season! (I can't believe I just said those words in April haha). As a small business, nothing is ever guaranteed. Longevity of products and offerings depend solely on customer demand and purchases. We don't take for granted how lucky we are that the creations we dream up are loved by you all over and over again. 💕 Long live our dragon boat toy! Hip hip hooray! 🐉✨
