Good morning. True to form as someone with goals in mind, Dad joined my Mom early this morning. He is no longer in pain and has solidified his place as my hero, by now being a legend. It’s been just a week since we celebrated Mom’s life and, after being admitted to the hospital a few days afterwards, he had decided that it was time. Even though it was one way, I enjoyed talking with Dad and passing on all of the well wishes from Facebook and IG to him. There were some indications that he was listening as I told him stories, so that was but of comfort for me. One last request to raise your glasses and toast my Dad, but I will continue to share stories. So, please bear with me as I need that outlet. This photo is now a memory of how many angels are in our in our family.
Love you, Dad and love the family reunion.
Legends have humble beginnings and grow to stories worth telling The last post, about my Dad, had its inception with recent changes. My Dad was able to say goodbye to his wife of over 60 years, my Mom, last Sunday. I truly believe that he has reached the point of being ready to join her. We are going to transition him to home hospice care at my brother and sister in law’s home and get him ready for his next adventure. It is a home filled with love, laughter, great food, sweet treats, hot coffee, and a place to spin yarns. I’ll ask that you bear with me, as I honor my hero with stories and memories that were meant to shape his children as productive members of the human race, but entertain us as well. So, as my own form of coping and therapy, I will pull from my mental files stories that mean the world to me; such as he still does. They are understandably insightful for those folks who truly know me. Everything, and I mean everything, good with who I am as a production crew member, an out-of-the-box creator of solutions, and as a Dad, I give credit to this man. Everything I did that was questionable, and that’s a big list, I take responsibility for that because I didn’t know any better or ignored his examples for them. It’s hard to see him, in the state that he is in, but my memory of who he really is lives in my mind and helps me to prepare for the time when he is ready to step into the light that he himself has shone for so long. It’s a rare and precious thing to have a father and Dad that has been such a force for my successes, yet be able to spread that light and love to all of those who know him. Please raise your glass to the legend, the man, the dreamer, the creator of the coolest stuff that I have ever seen, and man worthy of all things beautiful. my Dad

Please give a collective shout out and send your love to my dear friend, Tracie Laymon! Today is her birthday and the world is a better place for it! Her beautiful movie is about chosen family, empathy, being someone’s light in their darkest days, and showing that there are good people in the world that are easily seen when you open your eyes and hearts. Bob Trevino Likes It is an homage to someone who was special and guiding in her life and I was fortunate enough to lend her my name to a character that embodies those memorable qualities. I can only wish that it was about me, her FB Bob was an amazing person, but I am so proud to be a part of it. Such amazing performances by the cast and dedicated love and work from the crew. Join #Teamtrevino and help to bring this to a wider audience and show people that caring people are still here and are still stronger than ever. Happy birthday, Tracie!

Hey @tarrantcountysheriff , you may want to consider training your folks as to setting an example while driving on the freeway, when it pertains to staying in the left lane. I watched this driver stay in the left lane, from the time that I saw him in the rearview mirror until long after he was beyond my sight, and there was no reason for him not to get over. Lead by example….And before anyone points out to me about the use of my phone while driving, my phone was in a dash mount and in a witness camera position. I snapped a picture and put together this post while I was pulled over and getting gas.
Please join me in wishing my favorite daughter, Mia, a happy 24th birthday!! She has been stronger than she believes and has been forging her own path with her own decisions. Being happy and in control of your future, and your life, is all that a parent could wish for with their children. Love you, Sweetheart!!!
A well worn tape cover on a well worn show. Last day today and I turn my phone off of vibrate at wrap! Small, fun show with old and new friends; definitely a job to remember fondly!
I wish I could be there right now, but I’m away at work. It would be incredibly helpful if all of you good friends and family, in Facebookland, would help me in wishing my beautiful bride, Denise Trevino, a happy birthday! Love you, Baby!
This is quote from my dear friend, @tracielaymonfilms , in a Collider article about her beautiful film Bob Trevino Likes It. As much as she talks about the heart of the movie and knowing the impact that our friendship has been, to the both of us, I can’t tell you all how proud I am of her work and I cherish our friendship. She has always been a family member in my heart and embodies the idea of Chosen Family. Do yourself a favor and see it on Amazon right now. It’s a perfect example of how an act of kindness from a complete stranger can change someone’s life and those around them. It’s infectious and I hope that you all become inspired to reach out and make a change for anyone who needs it.
My much younger self says “Ah, shucks!” Thank you for all of the great FB posts, texts, and calls today. Turning 58 felt even better with all of your love! Got to spend it with my beautiful family and ending it the same way. It would be a great birthday present, to me, if you would watch my friend, Tracie Laymon’s, beautiful film Bob Trevino Likes It on Amazon when it premieres tomorrow. If you must know, I only get the happiness that you lovely people get to see such a great show with all of this talk of it; nothing more, but that would be a great present. Thank you all for the birthday love!
