🇮🇹 Final day at ESA School Days | Inspiring the next generation
BIS joined BIS Italia this week at ESA Italy for the ESA School Days programme.
Bringing together hundreds of students and teachers each day, these STEM outreach events offer a hands-on introduction to space — from satellites and launchers to Earth observation and asteroid science.
A highlight was welcoming Paolo D’Angelo (ASI), who shared insights on ESA’s Space Rider programme.

🚀 Day 4 at @ESA_Italia with our #Italian members @BIS_Italia for the #ESASchoolDays event all this week!🇮🇹
Happily, local weather conditions are ideal for ‘lofting’ our model rockets, so we have a “GO for launch”, much to the delight of all the many #school #students visiting @esa #ESRIN here today! ☀️😎👍🏻🚀

Another excellent day of engaging #space #STEM #Outreach activities was enjoyed by many visiting school children and teachers here at @esa@ESA_Italia #ESRIN with @BIS_Italia on Day 3 of the #ESASchoolDays event all this week!🇮🇹
Fortunately, local weather conditions today improved enough (at least, in the morning) for launching our model #Rockets - with 2 very successful launches! ☀️😎👍🏻🚀

🌍 GLOC 2026 | Where space meets climate action
GLOC 2026 brings together decision-makers, industry leaders, and innovators at the intersection of space and climate.
Hosted in Kigali, Rwanda (2–4 June 2026), the conference will explore how space-based capabilities are driving real-world solutions across climate resilience, sustainability, and global development.
From policy and investment to technology and data, this is a key moment to engage with one of the fastest-evolving areas of the global space economy.
Sponsorship and exhibition opportunities are now open — with limited availability.

🚀 Day 3 has begun @esa@ESA_Italia #ESRIN with @BIS_Italia for the #ESASchoolDays event all this week!🇮🇹
These #STEM #Outreach events are such a great opportunity for school students of all ages (and their teachers !) to learn about space , launchers , satellites, EarthObservation , Asteroids , etc.
Local weather conditions have unfortunately not been ideal for launching our model rockets. 💨😔 However, it is also a valuable lesson in understanding that, in reality, if weather conditions are unfavourable, Rockets cannot be launched.#ScienziatiNati
