Brooklyn's John Brodeur a longtime "NY Slice" fave, has just released his third Bird Streets @birdstreets album, 'The Escape Artist,' which he's said was a four-year journey.
In a new "NY Slice" session at FUV, Brodeur and his Bird Streets bandmates — Jeff Litman (guitar, vocals), Konrad Meissner (drums, vocals) and Tia Vincent (bass and vocals) played a pair of songs from that new album: "Mistaker" and "Run for Our Lives." Brodeur also took the "NY Slice" pop quiz and talked up his love of Michael Penn and Aimee Mann. Check out the videos now at WFUV.org.
Maybe you were lucky to see Bird Streets at City Vineyard earlier this year for the first "NY Slice" live nights, hosted by Alisa Ali @actionali . If not, you can catch Brodeur and Bird Streets at City Vineyard @cityvineyardnyc on 11/29.
