Music plays a big role in many of our lives. For me, has influenced my work significantly and helps me get through the day. Growing up I grew up with the radio so the Radio Top 100 + pop music has been a dominant force LOL but I’m open to a lot of things and can range a lot.
My life soundtrack has changed drastically between now and then. Many songs have remained, added or removed in the playlist because that’s happens when you get older.
1 year, 5 year and 10 years from now; how will it look from now? Let me know! My favorite thing in the world is when my friends share their playlist to me it’s such a kind gesture. I would love to read your comments and experiences.
Insight on Bionyo’s Life Soundtrack
1️⃣ At 3 years old my family and I immigrated to the US from the Philippines, and this was my favorite song ever. I sang, belted and hummed my little lungs out during karaoke with home DVD footage to prove it. Dedicated to my parents
2️⃣ At 11, I was on my family’s shared desktop computer surfing Youtube until I saw this cool thumbnail these guys have angel wings, clicked it, my life was changed; I began to make k-pop fanfic cover art out of sheer passion with a knock off Photoshop which propelled me to be a graphic designer & artist 😭

Ever just wanna fight your own brain because I have this conversation with myself on a weekly basis LMAO. But to love something, is to love confidently & proudly. I think once started to get over this fear, things have been getting easier to draw again as of recently. Drawing comics + writing has been one of them :-)
Thank you for those who continue to share their craft on the internet it does feel like a sense of relief n comfort. I have discovered many of my friends and seen so many beautiful things that I take take into my treasure box of inspiration. Not only physical art, I enjoy watching people dancing + performing, watching films/videos, listening to music then reading little think pieces . Even people who bake & cook! The passion you can feel it through their craftsmanship. All sorts of things!
So keep on making things! You are, and will be seen and heard <3

Why? Because I didn't know what to draw in my sketchbook everytime I opened it. Scared for WHAT 😭
The solution? Assign myself a prompt n stick with it!

Trees are so forgiving & abundant. Such a beautiful subject to record. They're everywhere! Also, also the sketch only takes about 5 minutes max :-)
I genuinely didn't know how to draw trees or foliage at the beginning of this they're so overwhelming but you can tell where in the slide I start to get hang of it HAHA Yay for sticking to this! Cheers to new month & growing the forest in my sketchbook hehe

Rocks are so fun to paint! Reminiscing on our Japan trip back in February. The rain made all of the foliage vibrant in color. Osaka was our favorite stop! Beautiful architecture and we ate so much seafood I'll never forget it :'-)

Revisited an old piece I painted back in the fall from a family trip. Digital today because I needed a break from the gouache after yesterday's struggle LMAO
I wanted to redo the water because I remember being stumped working on it back then and now that I have the knowledge now on how to do so! Crazy how much can change in 5 months I remember not knowing what to do when it got to landscapes now it's less intimidating :-)

I remember taking this photo the day I got my little digi cam n decided to walk around the city to find cool buildings to take pictures of. Suddenly a beam of light struck this church and make it glow so brightly in the middle of all of the corporate modern buildings.

Getting lost in the neighborhood & seeing the houses hidden with grass + weeds who are sitting proudly are my favorite. Sometimes the foliage is up my chin will is even more fun to witness.
Love how the burnt sienna under painting shines through :-)
