That lens heats up fast. Takes about 3 min to clear dew off the lens. Only 0.6% battery cost easily recovered with a day of mild sun. :) Kickstarter will be live very soon.

Built for the realities of the job site. The Edge isn’t just a camera system, it’s a rugged, field-ready platform designed to operate where conditions are anything but controlled. From heavy construction environments to long-term outdoor deployments, it’s engineered to keep working when everything else gets pushed to its limits. Sealed against dust. Designed to handle harsh weather. Built to take a hit and keep going. Whether it’s months of exposure, constant vibration, or unpredictable site conditions, the Edge is made for reliability, capturing every stage of the build without needing constant attention. Because on a real job site, failure isn’t an option. #KronosEdge #Timelapse #ConstructionLife #BuiltForTheField

It’s built to integrate without overcomplicating things, giving you clean, repeatable movement alongside your timelapse. Keep it simple, or build it out. Most “remote” systems aren’t actually yours. They rely on third-party servers. Monthly subscriptions. And if that service goes down… so does your system. Edge doesn’t work that way. Run it on your terms: • Upload to Dropbox or your own FTP • Schedule exactly when transfers happen • Get real status + failure alerts • Control and update remotely No middleman. No lock-in. No recurring fees. You own the system. It works for you.

After years shooting for BBC, Netflix, and National Geographic, one thing became clear: Timelapse doesn’t fail in the first hour. It fails on day 47. That’s where Edge was born. A system designed for reality — not specs. Power management. Scheduling. Offloading. Recovery. Because getting the shot isn’t luck. It’s surviving long enough to capture it. Landing page coming soon. In the meantime DM me for inquiries. Or email [email protected]

After what feels like a marathon of work, the Kronos Edge long term remote cinematography platform is finally online! It is capable if sending the images to Dropbox or FTP server over the air! Not 9nly that, it can send email alerts, status updates, and even relieve emails to adjust any settings on the Edge or Camera, meaning 2 way communication. And thats just to get started! The Kronos Edge is the younger sibling of the proven Boolapse LT remote capture system, but profoundly more capable, flexible, intelligent, self aware, motion control capable, and can survive over 180 days on battery alone. I already have 4 pre production systems filming for the BBC. Finally a DSLR based long term capture system that does not lock you into cloud service fees simply for the privilege of using.

Late last year my friends at @venuslaowa send me the new 15-24 T8 periscope zoom lens to play with. What a better opportunity to experiment with filming Rice germinating under water. It took about 3 attempts to get this footage First attempt nothing grew, turns out rice needs highly oxygenated water to germinate under water. Second attempt was better but the water got really gross really fast I had to buy a small under cabinet aquarium filter and even do daily water changes. I used the Kessler #cinedrive Next system. Even though it was configured 4 axis, the nature of the shape of this lens means i can get the appearance of a slide on the X and Y, including a fence of lift. It's a very versatile setup! Now to see about cleaning all the crap off this $3800 lens 😂🤣😅 hope they dont mind!!!!
