From a bold vision in 2016 to a nationally recognized platform today, the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) has grown into one of Canada’s fastest-growing independent film festivals, championing diversity and connecting Canadian stories to global audiences.
TINFF is recognized by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television as a Canadian Screen Awards (CSA)–Qualifying Festival and supported by Telefilm Canada under its Medium- to Large-Scale Festivals Program—marking its place within Canada’s national film ecosystem.
Over the years, TINFF has evolved into a dynamic ecosystem—bringing together festivals, industry platforms, markets, and creative initiatives that support filmmakers from discovery to global reach.
At the heart of this ecosystem is The Cinematic Box Distribution Canada, a distribution division of True Sail Production & Motion Pictures Inc., operating within the TINFF ecosystem and recognized as an eligible distributor by the Canada Media Fund (CMF) globally and by Telefilm Canada for productions in both the English and French markets, supporting feature films up to $3.5M.
