I entered the "My Jewellery, My Story" mini competition at Charnwood last year. I have been announced as the winner!
This story is one I have been wanting to write for some time. I am fascinated with Jewellery and how it can hold memories. Please do have a read and let me know your thoughts.

Starting 2025, I'm trying something that makes me feel uncomfortable.
Apparently, if something feels uncomfortable, you are learning. I was invited last week to speak at a networking event, thank you, DMU Business Services, for the invitation.
A huge thank you to everyone who visited the Guildhall Spring Craft Fair this weekend 🌸
Thank you to all the lovely people who stopped by to say hello and to everyone who purchased from me - your support truly means so much and is always so appreciated.
And a special thank you to Sally/ colleagues @leicestermuseums for all your help and organising such a wonderful event.
Throw back to a pair of earrings I sold in 2024. These are made from Rose Quarz, Swarovski and Abalone, combining self love, good fortune and abundance.
When worn they make a bold statement and I only made one pair! 🙃
I was listening to a talk about how revisiting parts of your past can actually make you feel younger. So I slipped on the bracelet I wore at 17. I didn’t become 17 again, but something shifted — a smile, a memory, a gentle lift. Jewellery does that: a smell, a touch, a person, a moment — exactly when you need it. 🙃

I often talk about how my inspiration comes from the stories my dad told us.
But my mum has had a huge influence too.
My mum has always been creative, she would decorate her own saris with swarovski crystals and sew decorative borders onto them to keep up with the bollywood trends.
My first memory of making Jewellery was when I was 7 years old. It was a hot day in the school summer break. I was an only child 🙂 and would complain I was bored regularly.
I had devoured some sweet water melon one afternoon and was about to throw out the light cream coloured seeds when my mum said she had an idea. We washed the seeds and dried them in the sun.
I was impatient and kept checking them as my mum went back to working in the basement.
In the evening, after dinner we sat down and mum showed me how to string the seeds with a needle and thread.
That was my first necklace.
I still remember it like it was yesterday.
I didnt keep the necklace 😔 I wish I had.

I am entering 2026 with a 'slow and steady mindset'
Last year taught me that some things cannot be rushed and take time so this year, I am focussing on setting intention, rather than time specific goals.
Excited to see where 2026 leads me.
I hope you are all having a fab January. 🙃
Taking a little trip down memory lane before diving into 2026 🚀”
I am taking some time to study what worked and what didnt work last year so this year hits harder.

Happy New Year!
I'm not one for making new year resolutions, they make me feel anxious and thats not really the point.
I start thinking about my plans for the new year in December and then usually forget about them by January 🤣
This year, I have decided to make a vision board. I started one in November and refined it this week.
I spent a little time researching the psychology behind it and found it quite intriguing 🤔 So, I've decided to try it this year....I might even give you a boring update later this year.
How do you plan your year....I would be grateful for any suggestions.
