All Hawaii Academy of Recording Arts members have been sent an email with their preliminary ballot. It includes your secure voting key and a personalized access link allowing you to vote quickly, and confidentially.

This yearʻs Hawaii Bowl was one of the most awesome, come from behind, stress filled, pulling from the naʻau, turnovers, misses, amazing catches, 4th downplays, down to the last seconds game in the history of UH Football. There were other games that are right up there with it, but the back stories, the local ties, the what might have happened had we not won the game; it made the win ever more so epic. Instead of showing a game photo, I wanted to show this one. Day #1 of Hawaii Football in the Chang Era. On this night, I was emceeing and Timmy Chang started his talks face-to-face with Hawaii people about his vision and what he wanted to accomplish. It started in the St. Louis Clubhouse with the crowd closest to Timmy and his family…it was time to rally the troops with his St. Louis Family. With both Coach Leesʻ in the house and others well known in the Ohana of football, Timmy told the crowd that he was officially throwing his hat in the ring, and started the journey to other talk stories across the state. This is where it all began Christmas Eve 2025, it was a game for the ages. Mahalo to those there in the beginning, to those who have joined up during the journey and to those who are just learning that Hawaii is answering the call. I hope you will join the journey too and get your SEASON tickets early and start making UH Football a part of your family tradition every fall. 2025 Moments: KHS Classmate Gary Haleamau receives Lifetime Achievement Award! pictured with his recording artist/brother Kevin! Gary Haleamau is an award winning, successful recording artist, owns his own business AND is the Director of Exhibits/Facilities & Capital Projects at Discovery Childrenʻt Museum in Las Vegas. As a member of “THE PANDANUS CLUB”, the groups many interchangeable members came together at the Lifetime Achievement Awards and accepted the award ensemble from the Hawaii Academy of Recording Arts. Gary is also a multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner as a solo artist and member of the Sons of Hawaii with Eddie Kamae, Gary with JJ & Darlene Ahuna.
Gary has also received the 2015 Nevada Heritage Award that he shares with his wife Sheldeen.
His wife is a Forever Miss Aloha Hula and their son is a producer, songwriter and recording artist!
