@SceneNoise #NoiseNews: In celebration of the release of his LP ‘7ASHARA’, Lebanese rapper and producer Billy Tstrk will host a massive showcase with his collective M7DH0N©️ at Station Beirut this December 26th. Encompassing 13 tracks, ‘7ASHARA’ is an audacious portrait of Arab youth flickering between ecstasy and exhaustion, blending DIY rap aesthetics with unapologetic punk sensibilities built from fragments of digital ruin, dysfunctional love and the brutal malaise of Beirut’s urban life. Billy will run through the full ‘7ASHARA’ tracklist live for the first time, bringing a roster of collaborators and special guests along for the ride. Egyptian-Iranian artists Nader Khalil and MAWWIJ, who recently appeared on the standout track ‘Wadih El Cheikh’, will be joining him on stage. Meanwhile, WAJA33 is also set to perform new solo material, while Beirut Club Mafia collective make their live debut, blasting through their singles and premiering tracks from their upcoming club-focused EP. The night will continue with a series of DJ sets, courtesy of an eclectic lineup of local favourites from the M7DH0N©️ crew, including ALBR1T, NCX3, Khataya and Kousa. Doors open at 9:30 PM. A guiding tension pulses through 7ASHARA: irony meeting heartbreak, spiritual detachment clicking with desperate intimacy, fleeting euphoria collapsing into nausea. He refuses tidy narrative arcs. Instead, the album itself leaks: a stream-of-consciousness dispatch from a city in crisis. @billytstrk ‘s debut album 7ASHARA is finally here, and it’s everything you’d expect from the @m7dh0n rapper. The record is a pure representation of the collective and the current underground scene brewing in the levant: loud, distorted and honest. BILLY is here to disrupt Beirut’s music landscape and assert himself and his music. When asked how the underground scene is shaping in the city, he explained that the youth crave the noise they’re bringing. “Our energy is raw, and our sets are sharp and unfiltered, nothing like the polite and politically correct playlists the city keeps doing. We were already on the current wave of post-internet global music when we started out, and more people would come to understand this with a bit of time” he says to Dazed MENA.
