The feels. 📝
I’m not gonna lie. It’s been a big week at home. Emotionally and physically. It’s been a huge adrenaline dump. I’ve cried, I’ve laughed, I’ve smiled, ive cried again. I’ve had down days and wanted to do nothing, I’ve had some good days and have been motivated.
They warn you that it can be tough after the olympics sometimes. And it is. But that’s normal. Your allowed to feel it all.
We work so hard to achieve this massive goal. Putting everything else aside. All attention, focus and emotions set on the olympics. To achieve at the highest level. To represent our country and family with the upmost pride and respect. All the excitement leading up to it. All the hard work. The Dedication. The sacrifices. All the energy and fun times during the games. Then once that stops. It can get a little quiet. You can feel a little lost. Wondering what’s next. Remembering the feels you put aside. But that will pass. You will move onto the next goal in life. 🫡🕺
Just writing this to be honest on here. And maybe let other athletes or people going through the same thing know that’s it’s ok. And it’s normal. Your not alone. And you will get through it.
Honestly. My overall experience of the 2024 Olympic Games was the best trip I’ve ever had. The NZ team where amazing with looking after us. Competing in tahiti alongside the worlds best was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Heading to Paris to support the team, checking out the village and enjoying the whole Olympics experience. It was all so amazing. And that keeps me smiling. Makes me happy and proud.
Just a little honest update. Thanks always for all the support legends. We keep moving forward and achieving those goals. Cool things ahead. 🫡

With the @wsl Championship Tour in Raglan just days away, we checked in on Billy, and his excitement is tangible. He’s locked in and ready, carrying that perfect mix of big smiles, calm energy, and laser‑sharp focus.
Having him join the Fairview family as an ambassador makes this moment feel personal for us too. From one Waikato story to another, go get those waves!
The whole Fairview team is behind you 🤝🌊
