Our 25 Hours at the Ave event will be raising funds for a cause very close to our hearts - Rios Legacy.
Founded by Ryan and Karen Fowler, Rio’s Legacy raises awareness and funding to build more children’s hospices across Australia.
At the time Rio was diagnosed there were only 3 hospices nationwide, soon there will be 5.
With your help, we can support the brand new hospice Mounties Care Cottage in Western Sydney, due for completion in 2027, through family experiences, cooked meals and more where children and their loved ones can spend precious time together.
Children’s hospices provide specialised paediatric palliative care when families have nowhere else to turn. The impact saves families - around 80% of marriages fall apart when a child is diagnosed with terminal illness.
There’s a real personal connection for us here at the Ave. Billy has been an ambassador for @rios.gift over 10 years and Charlie’s connection with Ryan goes back when he boarded at Scots College with Ryan being his boarding master. One of many reasons why this event means so much to our community.
