To the great mothers of the world, we honour you on this day.
To my darling Mumma, you are the queen of queens, my North Star. It is the greatest privilege to be your son.. To my sister mums, I’m so proud of you. BOMBSHELL: Two APRA members @heincooper & @billyotto walked into @apraamcos ’s office yesterday to exercise their constitutional right to inspect board meeting minutes.
They were turned away.
APRA staff stated the minutes were not on premises.
Under Section 251B of the Corporations Act 2001, companies MUST make minute books available for member inspection.
But the bigger question is this:
Do the minutes even exist?
Because if they don’t, that’s a potential criminal offence with strict liability under Section 251A of the Corporations Act.
The person who directed the denial? Adam Townsend, the same person whose written admission that APRA cannot verify your international royalties is already on the ACCC public register.
Sworn statutory declarations have been filed.
ASIC and the ACCC formally notified. Senators were briefed.
I also want to take a moment to commend the bravery of @heincooper and @billyotto .
These two artists walked into that office today on behalf of all of us.
That took serious courage, and they did every APRA member a massive service by revealing this gross mismanagement of a member-owned organisation. Go and support them please, they deserve it.
This is Australia’s mandatory music rights monopoly.

What begins in California, ends with California. My weird odyssey started at the @grammys and ended with the dazzling @stagecoach ; a 3 week mini mission morphed to a 3 month soul expansion discovery.. The greatest and most important journey of my entire life. So thankful for everyone who took care of me and held me through some massive shifts over this little chapter. To my dear American fam old and new, I love you with the depths of my being; the hosting, the heart-led chats, the waves, the events.. It was truly important for me to move through my grief with my village of legends on the other side of the world.
And LA truly feels like home.. I’ve never felt so clear about where I need to put my roots down and things are in motion.
I’ve never been so excited about my music and my calling. And my time is now!
Back in Aussie land now. Reflecting and coming down from an epoch of wonder and letting go.
