It is official…lol If I wasn’t loud enough, the book “Cycles, The Sacred, and the Doomed” is printed and out. Recently, I’ve been reflecting on who deserves my infinite gratitude, and it’s clear to me that this book may not have come to fruition without the unwavering support and love I received from my lovely friends and my former partner, Juli. To think radically and critically about the world, its beauties, and its injuries, one needs to feel appreciated, loved, and, more than anything, safe. I’m forever indebted to what they gifted me with. Additional eternal thanks to: Laurence Scherz @laurence__scherz Winona Hudec @yynona Freek (Set Margins) @setmargins Geert Lovink (ofc no insta lol) Chloe Arkenbout @chloecamille___ Carmen Hines @carmen_lael_hines Family Lovers and haters <3 You can order it through the link in my bio or ask me if you have any doubts. It will be soon available on softcover.shop and @limestone_books_maas in Maastricht. For the US market, it should be shipped there soon, but I’ll update you!

By examining the pioneering work of early net critic Geert Lovink, the influencer-style approach of internet theorist Joshua Citarella, and the practices of Alex Quicho and Sophie Public, this essay delves into the diverse strategies internet researchers use to share their work and sustain their careers—more or less independently—in today’s attention economy. The book features interviews with Geert Lovink, Joshua Citarella (@joshuacitarella ), Alex Quicho (@amfq ), and Sophie Publig (@publig.enemy ). To support the printing process, we kindly ask those interested in purchasing the book to pre-order it. This will help cover some printing costs, and you’ll receive your copy around May 2025. Has AI solved desire? Does “protocol art” yet exist? Is collaboration with machines tantamount to theft? And is everything really computer? The third Spike roundtable hosted by JSF problematized these questions and so much else. Stay tuned for audio and start getting answers with a copy of Spike’s Spring 2026 issue, on sale online and in select book and magazine shops. Panelists, left-to-right: Christopher Dake-Outhet, moderator Adina Glickstein, Morgane Billuart, and Dean Kissick Photos: Philippe Gerlach (@philippegerlach ) #juliastoschekfoundation #spikeartmagazine #everythingscomputer

The Heat of Others, 2026. “Max, a young and ambitious researcher, travels to Svalbard, Norway, to speak at a conference on the ethics of mind enhancement. There, she discovers a high-tech experimental building powered by “Dual Resolve,” a system that harvests human body heat. As the conference unfolds, the warmth of bodies and the pressure of ideas begin to blur, pulling Max into a state of growing uncertainty where thought and sensation are no longer discernible. In her first novel, Morgane Billuart combines an unyielding Arctic darkness and media critique to explore the boundaries between physical reality and technological innovation.” This project, which has loved me and haunted me for the last three years, has finally taken physical shape. This is my first fiction book, so I’m both nervous and excited about its reception. I’ve tried to gather through this project the many doubts and inspirations that have moved through my world, leaving me with the feeling that, during all this time, I couldn’t have written any other story. I’m excited to see where this story goes, hoping to write more, even in these uncertain and automated times, and long life to research, art, writing, and community. Thanks to Juli and Hyun Vin Kaspers for helping me bring this building to life. Thanks to people who loved me and supported me throughout the writing process, specifically Aman Cavalli, Liu Wei-Chen, Mira Samonig, Jonas Morgenthaler, Sam Fuentes, Lucia Ugena, Carmen Lael Hines, and Florian Sigl. Thanks to Adriana Lasheras, Alisa Petrosova, Sophie Publig, Max Mulhollandlicht, and Jean Renaud Billuart for reading my drafts. Thanks to Lies Kelder for editing this text, Ryder Books @ryderbooks for design and technical support, Mondriaan Fund @mondriaanfonds , Stichting de Zaaier, and Set Margins @setmargins for helping me bring this book to life. Thanks to Geert Lovink and my family for believing in me and pushing me to write. You can order the book under the link in my bio or via Set Margins bookstore.

Nowadays, intellectual production appears to no longer exist outside of systems of visibility and instead flows within an economy shaped by attention and influence. Critical and analytical ideas, too, circulate through platforms, and they not only reward rigor but also form a visual language. This shift invites a closer look at the formats and incentives that make critical and intellectual production legible and impactful today: from short-form content such as Instagram reels that accelerate recognition and reach, to long-form essays that sustain depth and critical engagement, to research-driven books that experiment with narrative structures and aesthetic strategies. Within this evolving landscape, intellectual practice becomes inseparable from questions of mediation and exposure. Together, Alex Quicho (@amfq ), Günseli Yalcinkaya (@gunseliiiiii ), and Morgane Billuart (@billuartmc ) will discuss the following wonders: How are ideas shaped by the formats through which they appear? What kinds of thinking are amplified, and which remain less visible? In these new landscapes, what are the new canons and references? With Morgane Billuart, Alex Quicho, and Günseli Yalcinkaya DJ set by Norsicaa (@norsicaa ) 4th of April, 19:00-22:00 Reference Point (@referencepoint180 ), 2 Arundel St, Temple, London WC2R 3DA, Royaume-Uni RSVP Link in bio, Made possible with the generous support of Reference Point (@referencepoint180 ) and Mondriaan Fund (@mondriaanfonds ).
