Hi!! I want to talk a little bit about my ✨new book✨ (available for PRE-ORDER thru the link in my bio.) This project began around two years ago and honestly, when it was set into motion, I really didn’t know if I could do it. I know I’ve mentioned this before (sorry) but I have had a rough few years creatively and have had the feeling (for the first time) of not knowing if I wanted to continue doing this. The characters in the story all suffer from different really relatable issues that I definitely had been feeling myself for a while. I didn’t want this to be like an instruction manual on self care because that doesn’t really interest me. But what does interest me is creating an escape where you can feel like a kid again reading an illustrated book but with lots of swears. The book is also the last project I got to tell my mom about. I modeled the Glam Reaper’s cutting love after her. My mom was a salty New England lady who could tell you she loved you one minute then in the same breath give you a little attitude. I love her so much and miss her more every passing day. She left us before getting to see this complete, but she knew that I used her as the muse for the Reaper. When we were coming up on the release, I was asked about promotion and what I want to talk about and, honestly, I am just glad I get to keep telling people how incredible my mom was- and grateful the book gets to be a gateway to that. With that said, the story is very silly and filled with love. It helped me get through all of those hard times and I hope that it can be comforting for anyone going through it, and something fun for others who aren’t, to remind them they will always be a baddie with a fatty. ❤️

Why is no one readddddddy?
I remember when the first DWP movie came out. I was straight way back then and somehow thought no one was the wiser that I knew all about each look that was shown on screen. This post is unfortunately not sponsored (pathetic, I know.) But it got me thinking of the Glam Reaper and Miss Phillip and how I see Death dressing. There’s something hypnotic about Death- imagine seeing a skeleton wearing a piece from the @rodarte Gothic Fairy collection? Gag. I would follow that b*tch into the ocean- fierce is fierce hunny. I took a look back at some of my favorite runway shows and decided to dress her up in other designers since The Devil has a @prada contract..

I WROTE A BOOOOOK!!!!! I’ve been sitting on a secret for the last two years and I finally get to releaseeeee her. The Glam Reaper’s Guide to Slaying is a sickening self help story that shows you ghouls and goblins are just like us: absolute f***ing messes :) Miss Reaper leads this band of misfits on a journey to the Afters- little do they know the party lasts for eternity, hunni. I’ll talk more about it later but this project came at a pretty low point for me, so all of these little idiots are drawn from personal experiences and was really therapeutic to put it all down. With that said I’m so nervous and excited to share it- I hope it makes you laugh and maybe even cry. It did for me ❤️ You can PRE-ORDER it NOW through the link in my bio.
