Marathon des Sables
7 days in the Sahara. 250 kilometers on foot, carrying all our gear and food. The only things provided were shelter, water, and medical support.
There are many takeaways from a week like that. One is a deep sense of awe for what we humans are capable of. We can endure far more than we think. Another is a powerful reminder that steady progress—step by step—can take us much further than we ever imagined.
The journey continues…
8848 meters of elevation gain : 130 km : 29 hours
I have been inspired a lot the last years. Inspired by how people use running and moving in nature, to deal with their mental struggle. Not to run from it, but run with it. The monkey mind slowly settles and things seem more clear after a run, even the shorter ones. But, damn this one felt like the accumulation of all the good tings I have worked on. Peeling of the layers hour by hour and finding a calm mind. A calm mind I could run with the whole night and go into the morning with the confidence that I could finish.

I have run and walked many steps the last years. It’s my medicine. It’s a way for me to keep things simple. One step at the time, not to fast. It has gotten my way further than I could imagine in every sense.
The 8th of June I will try slowing down even further and see how high and fare I can get. I’ll try to gain the hight of Mount Everest @everesting.dk another backyard adventure.
At the same time all the participants are trying raise money for Læger uden grænser - Doctors Without Borders @msf_dk
You can support via the link in my bio 🙏🏽
330 something km on foot from my new backyard in Klitmøller, to my old backyard at my parents in 6 days. The idea was to create space for further mental work and start sharing the journey with more great people. By listening in general, to my body, mind, nature and the stories of others, I feel more connected and fulfilled. I guess it is working.. but the work continues. 🙏🏽
Much love for all the support, shared moments, cold water from strangers and hot dk summer days ❤️
I have been on a mental journey for a while now, trying to figure out what was messing up my mind and what kept pushing anxious feelings in my body. There has been many stepping stones to reach a feeling of progress but the journey is going in the right direction. I knew it was not what was in front of me, that caused it, but what I carried in me. The key learnings so far is that I can’t hide from it, I need to talk about it and I need to carry it with me when I’m doing the physical things I love and try to work with it. Not run away from it.
I have walked many, many kilometers the last years and I will continue to do so. During the kilometers I work with my mind and have meaningful conversation with great people.
Today I started a journey on foot from Klitmøller to Amager, my mom joined the first 20k. It was fantastic.. I’ll try to share moments on the way. So long.. 🙏🏽
Nb. Nope, I’m not fighting anything. I just like the picture from @emilfjord

A mental and physical journey beyond what I could imagine. Trekking Nepal for 20 days, with a hope that space in the mind could give more mental clarity and inner calm. And a hope that stepping into the unknown thin air, with breathing as a tool, could push me past something. That something has been past and I’m curious what it will bring..
A huge thank you to @rasmuskragh.dk for facilitating the journey both mentally and physically. You pushed all the right bottoms. Let’s do some more.. and thank you @sarahlandsted you fucking rock and all the other participants of this trip and @peter.riis.jensen my roomie for 20 days, fantastic times!
A new project is on the rise. @block65.Hanstholm
