All about Redshift, Blueshift, and kbilal.com (link in bio)
It's been a month since we released Redshift (and 3 days since we released the Blueshift companion story). I realised I haven't done a yap post here on ig.
This is the obligatory yap post lol.
I love films. I love stories. To make this film was to make a dream come true. I'm unbelievably grateful to everyone who worked on it.
Why Redshift? I thought it was cool. There's a lot more going on there ofc, but I won't be explaining anything. My favourite thing about the film is hearing interpretations. This film was to be a reflection, not a direction. And also, I wanted my debut to look visually cool. Cinematography by my creative pal in the endeavour @chadhine . Very beautiful shots. And it wouldn't be a shot without the amazing performance from @blanchard3.14 who is in most of the photos!
I will be directing and writing more films, so stay tuned.

I made it to share my stuff! As well as directing and writing films, I also have a passion for literature. I love all storytelling, even music. No, I will not be sharing my secret soundcloud.
I have goals in the literary space. For now, I'm sharing some short stories on kbilal.com. Some stories are not readable. Reach out to me if you'd like to be a test-reader for those. love to hear your thoughts on the stories. All of the stories contribute to my overall goal in the space which I cannot wait to talk about.
