Wow, today is 20 years in Bend. I’m beyond thankful for all the laughter, adventures, heart opening moments, nights under the stars, days in the woods and on water & snow. ❤️
That said, it hasn’t been all rainbows and unicorns but also long hours, stress and sacrifice while owning businesses, surviving both my cancer treatment journeys & my mom’s Alzheimer’s journey (the overlap last year was the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced), and just attempting to succeed at daily life and everything it throws at you.
This weekend was a huge reminder of what a great decision moving to Central Oregon was. Celebrating a close friend’s 50th followed by a beautiful dinner under the stars and time at Cultus Lake was a magical way to interact with many of you who’ve been on this journey with us. Add in being blessed with Evan/Heaven Zest’s music (find on Spotify!) twice this weekend and the reminder that we can be resilient and thrive beyond hard times has resonated at the right time.
If you’re still reading this and have been a part of this journey, I tip my hat to you. 🙏❤️🙏
Im mostly making this post for any of my high school skateboarder friends out there (or any skaters Iv’e met really), who are yearning for some nostalgia of the good ol’ days.
I uploaded all the skate videos we made as skate rats that I could find. Starting in high school, for a full decade we made these videos together, and little else mattered except for partying & chicks, because this was the particular art of life we leaned into. I quit soccer to skate. Before cell phones were on the map, we had high 8 camcorders and funny looking fish eye lenses, fetishizing over waxed corners and low hand railings with no cracks in the run-up. The feel, the sound, the look, the consequences. We’d dream about it, talk about it, watch videos about it, travel for it, and do it as much as possible, between it all.
We lived and breathed skateboarding out in the streets day in and day out, pining over the prospect of discovering newly built ledges and double sets of stairs in business centers with rent a cops that we dodged or fucked with on the daily. I fought a security guard and was arrested at school. They made me put in 100 hours of community service at the boys and girls club. They said I couldn’t hang out with certain people anymore or I’d go to prison. I risked hanging. 😂
I turn 40 in 4 days. The natural way of things is that as our bodies get older, we do stuff like sk8 less. I can still skate pretty good actually, and continue to expand my capacity for trying new things when I do skate, but, when I fuck up, either it hurts for way longer, I’m way sorer, or I just can’t really go for it because I can’t afford broken bones and ligaments anymore. So I tend to stick to small stuff, except like once a year where I say fuck it and do some big dumb shit and tend to come out alright with a limp and fired up body.
There is a permanent part of me that is Southern California. There is a permanent climber. And an artist. And a lover. A psychedelic backer. A depression survivor. Some things don’t get reversed or changed. Some do. Even if I lose my legs down the road, one of those things that will never change is #skateboarder. Skate or die.

Love us both?
Hire us as a team!
It is so clear to me, and always has been, that I married a true king. The polarity that we are standing in from the vibration of our wedding is so beautiful, so divine, so felt.
What a beautiful man I have standing before me, reflecting back at me. He is such a gift, I feel truly blessed and at my knees with gratitude for all of the turns and leaps in my life that landed me here, next to him.
It really is true what they say, marry your best friend!
What a delicious life this is with you ❤️

The pulse of life itself.
Ever wonder why we hold hands?
Life force energy beams from the palms of the hands and in unity, such energy is then amplified and accentuated as it swirls in the form of a figure eight from one body to the other and back again.
In faith of consent, hand holding is the crux of “clean energy” if you ask me.
A Prost to Good Love!
It was such a bless up to photograph this wedding with my fellow foto faerie, miss @hummingbird_rising we had such an amazing time, that we are percolating in the ideals of offering more tandem services as such!

So, so much love on this day and so, so much dancing. Idk how we danced so hard with all of the amazing food in our bellies from @thepantrybend but we did and it was fabulous!
Thank you @spindrift_tinyhomes for all the love you share in the world! ✨
This one is for all the San Diego people! 30” x 60” on wood wrapped surface locally made by my father in Redmond, Oregon. I learned how to remember to create from my unique place of magic and that is my gift. People want our gifts. But, sometimes we need to remember ourselves to give it. Thanks to these people for supporting my process in finding my most exemplary offering. @bijinanda@sarahelisemartin@ken.roth.art@littlewolfspeaks@green_witch_next_door #pipesbeach #encinitas #pelican #birdsofinstagram
