Post-race recap 🏆: @bigtallwayne and I had a secret event on our spring program: a Tour of @russianriverbrewingofficial during #PlinyTheYounger week.
The day started smooth and we made all the right moves, from timing the line to finishing our tour and entering the restaurant immediately. We clearly were on the offensive with a few cheeky taster top offs mid-tour before entering the crux: our showdown with Younger itself. Of course Pliny had other plans though and we started to come unraveled. Luckily our loaded fries showed up just in the nick of time, we were able to power towards the finish and fully cleared our 3s-the-limit wristbands. To celebrate our glorious victory we cranked up the fire pit at home for an encore.
.
The post race fatigue was deep this morning but we rallied and rode a circuitous route back to the scene of our victory the night before to collect the car.

Morale is high headed towards the next objectives 💪🙌
Trying to encourage it to snow the best way I know how… get my bike dialed!
Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited about some riding. It’s just that winter has just been too short and too warm here.
Help us out and get your bike dialed as well. Check sealant, wax your chain, check your bolts, then take it for a test ride!

Big bikes for big people! I frequently get questions about what I ride, what fits, and what is strong enough for me. This is a shoutout to companies like @canyon_road_ who continue to produce bike in the XXL category! This is my Canyon Ultimate CFSLX.
For reference, I’m 6’6” (2m) tall, and 220lbs (100kg). This is completely stock other than the wheels, saddle, and bar tape.
Let me know if you have any big person or big bike questions.

Pete, thanks for opportunity of a lifetime, friendship of a lifetime, and adventures of a lifetime! Over the past six years, I have had the opportunity to have my dream job since I was 14 years old. Through hard work paired with many fortuitous circumstances, I have had the pleasure of being a Professional Bicycle Mechanic for @pstetina . For those that haven’t seen the news, Pete has announced his retirement as an elite Gravel athlete. Watch the heartfelt film “Feeding The Rat” on YouTube.
I will have the pleasure of a final season with Pete, doing what we do best, working hard, racing hard, and having a really good time. Neither one of us is done with cycling. Things might be changing, but cycling continues to be a passion for both of us, and we will see you out there!!!
Thank you to everyone for riding your bike, and continuing to make the cycling community a true community! I feel honored to be a part of it.
