Exactly a year ago, I was told that I am too assertive, too aggressive, and that my energy is shining too bright.
Being a woman in the music industry is challenging especially in Afrobeats. We’ve all been in rooms full of people who overlook or underestimate us, but let me tell you this! We are the backbone of this culture. Our energy, our passion, and our resilience are what move this industry forward.
We are not here to shrink or dim our light. We are here to accelerate change, to disrupt the status quo, and to create a lasting impact that will be felt for years to come.
So, to all the women out there, keep pushing, keep rising, and keep being unapologetically YOU. Your power, your vision, and your influence matter.
