When @acmusicproductionsofficial comes to Big Red, he brings the whole squad. We had the entire Lanterns big band in the studio last month to lay down tracks for their upcoming album "Lanterns Vol. II," a collection of original jazz fusion genre benders. To get the best possible takes we had upwards of ten musicians jamming in the Big Red barn, all capably recorded by Billy Oskay on the Trident TSM console. It's always fun to record a big ensemble, thanks to Adam for coming back once again!

Last week, Big Red Studio welcomed Lanterns for two days of recording their new project spanning jazz and contemporary visual art. The group led by Adam Carpinelli playfully blend electric and acoustic jazz to create pure fun and experimentation, a perfect fit for the wide-ranging recording capabilities of Big Red. REPLICⱯTE is an acoustic music project from the Pacific Northwest. The band primarily consists of Jessica (Gemiinii Riisiing) on vocals, Eric Happe (Death In Color) on guitar, and Kathryn Brunhaver (Eugene Symphony) on cello. We're reinterpreting some of our favorite songs from bands like; Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, and many more. Currently the band is arranging and recording our first release with Josh Brewer (Dusk's Embrace) engineering /producing; tracking guitar and ‘cello in a few recent sessions at Big Red Studio.
