A lot of life has happened since I last released music. I’ve lived through choices both good and bad. I’ve cried many tears Endured sleepless nights. I’ve grieved, made mistakes I knew better than to make, faced parts of myself I couldn’t ignore. I’ve watched my health and my body shift for worse and better. I’ve grown closer to my parents, and gained a deeper understanding of what my kids mothers sacrifice every day. I’ve lost people to sickness and violence. Watched dynamics change with some of the people I once held closest, Lost money, Gained perspective. Watched my children grow in real time and somewhere in all of it, I sharpened my voice not just as an artist, but as a man learning how to communicate, how to feel, and how to keep going. And through everything life placed on me I stayed committed to this, this project started as an idea 3 years ago. And no matter what came my way, I made sure I saw it through. There are moments I still ask myself, “Why am I doing this?” And every time, the answer finds me the same way Because I have to. This shit became more than an outlet it became translation. A way to turn emotion into something tangible. A way to give my experiences somewhere to live outside of myself. I fell in love with creating something out of nothing. I fell in love with creating from exactly where I stand. And somewhere along the way, I found a feeling I hadn’t felt in a long time something that replaced the love I once had for basketball. This is what I’m called to do. I do this to be felt. To be heard. And I’ll carry that for as long as i can. I made a promise to myself if God ever gave me another opportunity to build something from god given ability I wouldn’t take it for granted. I believe I’ve been given something I didn’t ask for and I intend to protect it and pass it on to whoever needs it most.

A true testament to brotherhood, care, and progression. Creating from a real place and letting that be enough was always the plot. Last weekend showed me exactly how present and prepared I’ve been throughout this entire rollout. None of this was in the original plans of this roll out. God really placed these opportunities in front of me, and I slick took them as a reward for the work I’ve been putting into myself and the craft.
I want to thank @djshawna for the opportunity to be honored at a @bucks game for me and my brother Liks’ record “Loose Ends.” Moments like that make this journey as an artist worth it and push me to go even harder. Much love to you, always!
S/O to @sabrinamabbett as well for extending the opportunity to perform at a private 414 Day event. The night was amazing, the energy was high, and it reassured me that being patient and creating from a real place will always be recognized.
There’s still a lot of work to be done, and I’m nowhere near where I see myself taking this—but I’d be a fool not to stop and appreciate moments like these.

when @mogulmarz sent the beat i immediately thought “big boy” rap. it felt like a continuation of me and p’s song “boyz ii men”… except now we’re really the men we used to talk about becoming.
we both had a lot going on at the time, so for our verses to mirror each other without even speaking on it felt… cathartic. like a real out of body experience.
moments like this remind me to slow down and let life happen how it’s supposed to. pressure burst pipes or makes diamonds… in our case it gave us this record.
As long as we able to make away this shit a sure shot don't doubt it. Its about that time when the fun begins love to all my folks see yall soon!
