often people will ask me
“what’s it like having such long legs”
to which i’ll often reply
“what’s it like having such short legs”
“touché” i hear back
life is all about perspective, you see
“ahh! parlez-vous français?” i enquire
“non, pas un seul mot” they respond curiously
“damn, that’s too bad, i’ve kind of been looking out for more french speaking friends lately… i guess i’ll see you later then”
i sigh as i turn and walk away
after moments they exclaim “wait! you forgot something”
i quickly turn back around
our eyes gently meet
we pause for what feels like both a second and a lifetime
until they break the breathless silence
“you forgot… moi” they declare as they link with my arm and we walk off together into the sunset
an elderly couple is sitting at a park bench, eating sushi
one is extremely tall and the other is a seemingly normal height, but incredibly short in comparison
the taller stalls between bites and melts into a greedy grin
“touché little shorty”
they think to themself
“touché indeed”
June 5th Cast - Pt I. Tickets in bio or on the door!
Jordy Russo is an up-and-coming heterotrophic organism who regularly ingests an omnivorous diet to produce metabolic energy. He has been known to communicate with similar organisms via transfer of pressure waves to elicit the release of endorphins, often within enclosed spaces. Jordy first entered the Mammalia class of the Eukarya domain as zygote in 1996, and since then has successfully set himself apart from other primates as a strong contender in the Hominidae family.
What is Emilia (also known as Millie) Higgs known for? Her comedy chops, 12 years of acting and improv experience and work in the incredible improv troupes ‘Joy Riders’, ‘Speakerbox’ and ‘Diversity Hires’. What is she not known for? Climbing Mount Everest, or any pretty tall mountains for that matter. What you’ll see if you watch her perform? A lot of joy and mischief. Come see for yourself.
