A song titled ‘Round and Round’ by Jake-San and myself. One of the last songs we were able to create together before he moved but a fun experience it was. Some songs just start with a word and you build on it from there and what came was a song about a circus. Seeing it for what it is and wanting to escape it. Hope you enjoy. I want to express my gratitude to Jake Burns for this song. He presented it as a partial chorus, and it was simply beautiful. It was one of those songs that was easy to write but challenging to sing because I kept finding myself crying through it. It’s a struggle I’m not always the most open about, but I’m gradually coming to accept it as I experience the better feelings—the happier days. While I write many sad songs, I’m much happier than these songs might suggest.
This is one of the first poems I had written in a long while. It was one of those moments the words just flowed out of you, and luckily I was present enough to write them down. I’ve never recited poetry before, so bear with me; it’s not perfect, but it will do.
Either shaped by time, culture, or the endless spark of human creativity, Everything changes. Everything evolves. I’m not sure where I’m going with all of this but, it’ll be somewhere.
