🦁 Lion’s Breath - Simha Pranayama
Inhale through the nose, exhale with a big Rawr/HAAA with Tongue out, eyes up, and jaw wide open.
Clears stagnant energy, releases jaw tension, activates the vagus nerve.
🐢 Turtle Breath - Kuei Hsi
Slow. Deep. Still. Almost invisible. Goal 2-3 breaths per minute.
Ancient Taoist practice. Turtles are symbols of longevity due to the infrequency of them needing to breathe. Deep Rest. Full parasympathetic activation.
🐶 Dog Breath - Svana Pranayama
Rapid open-mouth panting. Tongue out like a dog.
