FXR Fun Fact Friday
The FXR was originally designed under the direction of Erik Buell (yes, the same Buell who went on to found Buell Motorcycles). He engineered the FXR’s frame to be far stiffer and more performance-oriented than the traditional Harley frames of the era. In fact, the FXR was considered “too good” by some Harley loyalists at the time because it handled corners so much better than the heavier, wobblier models riders were used to.
That’s why to this day, the FXR is often called “the best-handling Harley ever made.”

My 89 FXRS this thing is as bad as it comes, bought this two owner and went to town on it. The crimson and Brandy has always been one of my favorite color combos. Every bolt on the bike was touched and no detail was left unturned the boys @ramjetracing did a hell of a job.
Todays FXR lesson…. What does FXR stand for? FXR stands for "Factory Experimental Racing” This was Harleys answer to try and have a bike that would compete or within range of the Japanese manufactures
The orange dreamcicle got a much needed facelift. The previous owner was on the zero maintenance program. So she’s having a spa day at @dunnritebikes to get some shoes, bearings, suspension, gaskets,and a general service. While she’s there we figured bars,risers,carb,seat,grips,wheels and a few other tasteful mods would be a nice addition to keeping her look good.
