Y’all have no clue how much this photo means to me. We just some Suffolk kids who use to sit in class and DREAM about where we are at right now!
Since I’ve been back home I’ve really been tapping in to my inner child and so it warms my spirit that as an adult I’m still in the same rooms as the folks I grew up with!
THE ARTIST. THE DJ. THE PRODUCER. We did it! Now we just gotta keep going!!!! 🤞🏽
The exploration I am on with music right now is THOROUGHLY being enjoyed. Been tapping in heavily with myself, which has guided me through some memorable parts of my life, which has landed me here right now. Working on something experimental. Creating work that is very near and dear to my heart. Everything is coming back in full circle.
First let me say ALL GLORY TO GOD!
What y’all see from me is not a complex but an upbringing. My mother and father put myself in a situation where I don’t have to say “I’m breaking generational curses” because they’ve already done it. They’ve instilled what hard work, consistency, and patience looks like and the rewards that come with it.
My mother is the BIGGEST DON ! From where she came from to the ladders that she’s climbed. I watched everything growing up and took notes because I knew as an adult these will come in handy. And now that I’m older I know she sees me in her and passed this blessing on to me. She explains to me that everything I’ve received has NEVER been a hand out but the 10,000 hours I put in. All I have to do is keep the blueprint current.
So I want to thank my parents for the child they’ve molded and I ESPECIALLY want to thank my mother for showing me what a Don/Queen really is.
