Being in Egypt feels like a walk in a park. A familiar park. Like reading through the Old testament. With quite a number of Pharoah’s. Lately, I’ve been intrigued by Egyptian history. By the King Ramesses II (the Great) who had 95 wives, had a favourite wife, Queen Nefartari, built her a temple with an inscription “It is for you the sun rises”. #RealLover. I haven’t been able to get over those words. Neither have I been able to get over being at the Coptic Church, taking a moment to pray. Or watching the sunset somewhere in Sharm. Looking at pieces from the BC’s. Noting that these people “sculptured” these pieces. I’m in awe.
Like the song says, these memories will stay with me. ❤️

January. A delight.
