Lagos lawmaker and Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliot has publicly apologised to his supposed political mentor and the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, saying he may have offended him in the course of his political engagements.
Elliot made the apology during an appearance on TVC's Your View on Friday, where he said any misunderstanding was unintentional and insisted he remained committed to party unity and development in his constituency.
His apology comes amid previous political tensions linked to the Lagos State House of Assembly leadership crisis, during which Gbajabiamila had revealed that he nearly lost his position at the Presidency due to allegations tied to Elliot's political activities.
Gbajabiamila had said President Bola Tinubu confronted him over intelligence reports suggesting Elliot's involvement in moves around the Assembly speakership tussle, a claim he denied at the time.

The EFCC has released the mugshot of Blessing CEO following her arraignment before the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, on May 15.
She is facing allegations of obtaining N36 million from Mrs. Ifeyinwa Nonye Okoye under the guise of securing a six-bedroom detached duplex in Lekki, before allegedly converting the funds for personal use.
The court ordered that she remain in EFCC custody until June 5, when trial proceedings are expected to begin.

I almost lost my job as Chief of Staff to President Tinubu last year. President Tinubu called me to his study in his Abuja house during the Obasa impeachment saga and asked me if Desmond Elliott was my boy. I replied to the president that he's my boy.
President Tinubu then told me that he heard that Desmond was part of the people causing problems in the Lagos State House of Assembly. Immediately, I told the President that Desmond wasn't part of them, but the president replied to me and said that from the intelligence he got, Desmond was part of them.
After that meeting, I called Desmond and told him what the president said and asked him to leave the group if he was part of them. Three days later, the DSS DG called me and said there's a problem. He said your name is being mentioned that you're the one behind the impeachment saga and that you're supporting Desmond.
I told the DSS DG that I've spoken to Desmond, and he denied being part of the group. I then called Desmond to make a public statement to deny his involvement in the impeachment saga, but till today, he hasn't done it.

Agoro Presents Appointment Letter to the New LTV General Manager.
Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, has presented an appointment letter to Mr. Kayode Oyekanmi as the new General Manager of Lagos Television (LTV).
The brief ceremony was held in his Office at the Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, on Wednesday, 13th May, 2026.
Mr. Oyekanmiโs appointment follows the disengagement of the erstwhile General Manager, Mrs. Sola Kosoko.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Oyekanmi served as Director, Strategy Centre, at the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy, a position he has held since 2022.
A seasoned brand communications practitioner, Mr. Oyekanmi has over three decades of professional experience spanning both the Private and Public Sectors, with expertise in Advertising, Public Relations, and Global export services.
He commenced his Public Service career as a Public Affairs Practitioner on 1st March, 2000, with the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy.
Mr. Oyekanmi, a Lagos State indigene from Isale Eko, Lagos Island, has received several awards in recognition of his dedication, hard work, and commitment to the journalism profession.
He holds a Masterโs degree in Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Lagos and a Bachelorโs degree in English Language and Education from Lagos State University.
He is an active Member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
In addition, he is a voracious reader and a passionate lawn tennis player.
Mr. Oyekanmi currently serves as the Charter President of the Lagos State Ministry of Information Toastmasters Club.
In his remarks, Mr. Agoro expressed confidence in Mr. Oyekanmiโs capacity to reposition Lagos Television and wished him a successful and impactful tenure of Office.
