“Our mission is heavily inspired by Stanford’s Product Realization Lab (@stanfordprl ) and the amazing staff and TAs that support it. A space full of tools and encouraging people to support your wildest ideas are both essential for artists to thrive.” Neil Hamamoto (@bigappleboy , last slide), ’15, is bringing a series of public art installations to the Bay Area this winter as founder and artistic director of WORTHLESSSTUDIOS (@worthlessstudios ), an organization that supports artists with production, fabrication and funding. Currently, the studio is presenting Happy Heavenly Birthday Oscar Grant – An Exhibition by 1-800 Happy Birthday at the Black Panther Party Museum through April 11. A related installation is on view at the Fort Mason Guardhouse through April 20. The project also appeared at the Black Joy Parade on Feb. 22. Thanks for bringing that spirit of creativity to the Bay Area! 📸: Brandon Ruffin (@ruffdraft ) and Erick Salazar (@ericksaladbar ) #Stanford #StanfordUniversity #Arts

can you make dreams from concrete? i did 🗿🪨🧱🪏 • On view at Canal Park (Canal & West St) through June, 2026. Thanks to @nycparks and #artintheparks for the placement. • “ABSTRACT/CONCRETE” Concrete and steel 48” x 48” x 144” 2025 • Abstract/Concrete is the first artwork of a new series titled “word/PLAY” which investigates the gap between what we say and what we mean. I love this book Shop Class as Soulcraft and how it distinguishes between abstract and concrete skills. Moving a pile of dirt, starting a motorcycle, fixing your girlfriend’s hairdryer… concrete skills! Financial modeling, making a powerpoint about which company snacks to buy; nowadays, even asking chatGPT to write you a poetic description of your sculpture… abstract skills. • This pieces is trying to display the range of how language operates in this diverse and strange world we live in. The goal posts being the abstract realm of concepts, theories, ideals, dreams and the concrete world that makes up our environment and which was made by us through our physical means of making, touching, fabricating, getting down and getting dirty. • It’s also a bit about this wacko guy Ludwig Wittgenstein and his theory/concept of “language games”. I’m dyslexic as hell so I’m definitely not the one to ask for the sparknotes on him. Can anyone really read it and not be lost? Seems he’s saying a word’s meaning is derived not from one fixed definition but from the way the word is used in lived contexts which is unique to each individual. • Abstract/Concrete asks whether our shared vocabulary is as stable as we think. Words promise clarity, but often act as shifting markers whose meanings change depending on who speaks, who listens, and the setting in which they are exchanged. • It’s got some obelisk like characteristics too which is meant to give a nod to those ancient times when we started this whole language thing and also to that famous rock - the Rosetta Stone - which apparently helped shaped a thing or to. You ever think… maybe they got the translation wrong? 🗿🎸

Couple weeks back me and @infinitemorale decided to plan a motorcycle trip across Europe. What a good way to spend your week of vacation. So we bombed it from Barcelona to Paris in 4 days. George rode a KTM 1290 Super Adventure S and I had a BMW R1250 GS. It was a epic to say to least. Running it back next year…. maybe, Lisbon to Casablanca? Join us! 🏍️🏍️ • one: morning hydration in Meyrueis, France after a long day of riding and longer night of town shenanigans 💦 • two: mid ride smoke… a necessary boost to keep attentive on the bike during hour 5 of riding 🚬 • three: quick photo stop with epic views as we decended out of the Pyrenees and into France 🏔️ • four: more pit stops with a view 🏔️ • five: epic winding road through this canyon. george is lucky i can take pics and ride at the same time 📸 • six: viva laaaa France 🇫🇷👨🏽‍🎨 • seven: first meal leaving Barcelona. Obvisouly we had to hit Mikey Dssss 🍟🍔 • eight: best baguettes ever. we were starving and this was the only spot we could find that was open 🥖

buy low, sell high, bulls make money, bears make money, pigs get slaughtered, cash is king, what goes up must come down, cut your losses short and let your winners run, don’t put all your eggs in one basket, a rising tide lifts all boats, there’s no such thing as a free lunch #bodegapaintings
