Big Andy’s sound is shaped by a long-standing relationship with groove, rhythm, and dance-floor flow. Cutting his teeth on vinyl in the early 2000s, alongside a run of smaller gigs across the UK, what began as a hobby quickly developed into a lasting commitment to his love for music.
With roots in funk, soul, and hip hop, his selections naturally evolved into a broad spectrum of house music, where rhythm, energy, and timing take priority over genre labels. Known for building coherent journeys, Big Andy uses lyrics, texture, and dynamics to guide the dance floor with intention and control.
After becoming a regular presence across venues in Saigon, Big Andy later set up base in Mui Ne, where he launched the Breaking Habits monthly event, alongside a host of regular appearances. He is also the creator and one of the organisers behind Waveline Festival, further cementing his role in shaping Vietnam’s underground music scene. Driven by a passion for good sound and carefully curated programming of funk, soul, hip hop, disco, house and breaks—he’s helping to push a deeper, groove-led sound into the local scene.
With presence behind the decks, Big Andy delivers warm, driving sets designed for moving bodies, and shared moments on the floor.

Set in the hills of Cargo Remote, surrounded by jungle, open skies, and a natural freshwater pool — a space built for slowing things down and tuning back in.
We start gently, with yoga and floating sound healing in the water, followed by art, conversation, and BBQ —before the music takes over and carries us into the evening.
This week, Big Andy & friends on the ones and twos, moving through Latin and Brazilian rhythms, Afro-funk, disco flavours and low-slung house as the sun fades.
Expect proper food, fresh cocktails, and good energy only — the kind that builds naturally when the setting, the people, and the music all align.
