Revisited a few old sketchbooks to see how my styles changed/ progressed. A lot of it has and I'm finding new ways to make things + my taste has developed. But I enjoy coming across a few good bits... Drew this at my old local in London. Good to remind yourself of how far you've come, y'know?

Had a good response from posting to my stories π So I'm reposting it here too.
Justwanted to send out a gentle reminder to get out and get some fresh air, if like myself, you're feeling a bit deflated π¦
Word on the street (the creative industry) is that "Craft is Dead" or even "Craft is making a comeback" and I'm bored of hearing it. Especially from non-creative people.
Craft cannot and will never die. It's not a trend, it's not a thing that can come and go. It's an inherent trait of being human. Craft is what makes your food taste good, fills your ears with music, your clothes look snazzy and what builds homes. It's fundamental to our existence and I'm bored of people dictating as to whether it's relevant or dying.
I know I'm talking on a wider scale. But the same applies. Embrace new tools, follow trends and be scared of what's next. But don't forget to celebrate the human made and the years of effort that goes into crafting original work.
Keep making stuff. Ignore the bullshit.
Drew this up whilst watching TV the other night and it just fell out of my brain. Wonky and imperfect- just how I like it.
I've always been a bit dubious when it comes to making a hand-drawn font as it's kind of ironic. But here we are. Fun though! Convinced myself to make more. Maybe even sillier...

Things and ideas from the sketchbook π
I've really been thinking a lot about drawing recently and where to take it next. The act of drawing itself is pure therapy for me and I've had that compulsion since leaving the womb.
I'm always torn between and constantly figuring out where the line exists between doing it for yourself and making it commercially viable.
I've never 100% treated it as an outlet to make money. But it'd be nice if it did. What are your thoughts on that?

I've always found drawing people a challenge and have weirdly avoided it. Avoidance is probably more of a reason as to why I should be doing it.
