The Taco Bell Century in Denver had over 100 riders this year.
Not only did they tackle the gastrointestinal challenges of hitting 10 Taco Bells across 100 miles, but they also raised $3,500 for Bicycle Colorado.
Plus, two of the unicyclists finished at 4 am the following day! That's a 20-hour day.
Yesterday, Senate Bill 26-072, a bill that will help hold dangerous drivers accountable who hit and kill other people, passed the House and was sent to the Governor for his signature. Many people worked tirelessly over many years (dating back to 2019) to help make this happen. Over this time, far too many lives have been lost. To all the families who have lost loved ones to traffic violence and worked tirelessly to pass this law, thank you! We are honored to stand with you to advocate for safe streets.
We're also grateful to AAA Colorado, Bike Jeffco, MADD Colorado, The White Line, and the law enforcement community. Your thought partnership and advocacy helped make this happen. Lastly, thank you to Senators John Carson and Marc Snyder for your leadership, and to Representatives Cecilia Espinoza and Bob Marshall for shepherding the bill through the House.
This Earth Day, our education manager visited Muller Engineering to host a fix-a-flat clinic for their employees, joined by the West Corridor TMA, who shared information about commuting alternatives. It was great to spend time with such dedicated and sustainability-minded engineering professionals!

Initiative 175 is bad for transportation and bad for Coloradans. The ballot initiative currently using the slogan “Fix the roads, no new taxes” will neither fix Colorado’s transportation system nor will it improve the lives of working people.

Tonight Bicycle Colorado @bicyclecolo had their annual #GearUp fundraiser and I had the chance to talk for just a moment about why I choose to financially support the work they do.
The answer is pretty simple: because what they do matters. It matters deeply.
I’m a cyclist myself. I know the joy and freedom that comes from riding a bike in Colorado. Some of my best memories, best friendships, and even moments of peace have come from being on two wheels.
But I also see the other side.
As an attorney who represents injured cyclists and grieving families, I sit across from people whose lives changed in a split second. I see the hospital bills, the trauma, the empty seats at dinner tables, and the ripple effects that continue for years after a crash.
And that’s why organizations like Bicycle Colorado are so important.
They’re not just advocating for bike lanes or infrastructure. For safer roads. For better laws. For education. They’re advocating for human beings. For a culture where people on bikes are seen, respected, and protected.
The reality is that change does not happen automatically. Safer streets happen because people in rooms like this decide they care enough to support the mission.
I support Bicycle Colorado because I believe every child should be able to ride to school safely. Every family should feel comfortable going for a ride together. And every cyclist should make it home alive.
Colorado is an incredible place to ride. Together, we can make it an incredible place to ride safely.
