Sketch to final processes of my Veritas illustration for @fancypants_sf ! This piece was fully rendered in pencil on Arches paper, and then colored digitally, which is an unusual process for me, but it was really fun!

We’ve mentioned before how lucky we are to have such a talented illustrator making our FANCYPANTS posters, but this month, and @bicedotcom has outdone himself– this painstakingly beautiful image could easily be the front cover for a novel about dark academia or some mystic order of Illuminati. But no, it’s a drag show unlike any other… V is for Veritas grabs you by the Latin root, and squeezes ‘til you spill the truth! We’re asking hard questions about history, literature and the arts, and the results are positively radiant. The event is Sunday, May 17th, 7-10pm at the STUD, but we wanted to give you all a moment to sit with a simple truth: this is a gorgeous poster, and we intend to live up to it.  Tickets and VIP tables to FANCYPANTS: V is for Veritas available now at the link in our bio! Photos by @kayleighshawnphoto at our STUD debut, V is for Virility back in February.

Obsessed with this remix by @dannycrushbeats rn so I made this painting about it and used it as an excuse for some more animation practice! I switched to Photoshop which is wayyyy easier than clip studio lmao #animation

I never posted this on Instagram for some reason (at least I don't think I did lol) This was my first and only comic project (mini project, lol) that I did 2+ years ago when I got this song in my head and couldn't kick it. Brush pen and watercolor in a sketchbook, which is not a method I recommend for comic making hahahaha. Doing this made me afraid to ever try to make comics again because it was so time consuming 🥲 major props to anyone who enjoys drawing comics because wtf.

Idk how I feel about this piece but it was fun and good practice with my colored pencils! Also includes some powder pigments applied with a brush to get the gradient on the tutu. Also fun to do a 100% traditional piece without editing it digitally at all.
