I’m in love with my country Iran, in love with its people, the culture, the language and everything about it! My Persian dance is about healing and connecting with my roots - and to share this with the world. I’ve never felt anything like the power of Persian dance, specifically the Sufi Twirl. The Sufi inspired dance is my foundation and it wakes me up, my whole body and mind wakes up, cause I feel the power of this ancient way of moving and I feel lucky and proud of being Iranian. The power I feel is my language to you, and I know you will feel it too when I dance, when you dance or when we dance together.
One day we will all dance and twirl together in the streets of Iran with fire, Ghorme sabzi and love for each other and our planet✊

Dancing in public was never an issue for me, but growing up in a country where dancing is only what professionals and very drunk people do, I did hold back in order to not seem crazy. I even said I was drunk when I wasn’t! Thankfully Norway has changed!

Persian Somatic dance is powerful! This is a name I made up. And it’s what I call what I teach. There are different courses for different levels.
💃🏻There is the somatic Persian dance which is more about movement and play, this is for all.
💃🏻And beginner lessons for basic Persian dance moves.
💃🏻Classic Persian dance, Bandari and sufi twirls are for experienced dancers and it’s more advanced.
The pop-up workshops I do are all for free. Like the ones at Oslo Opera House. This is to share the joy of Persian Dance, experience the connection that appears through dance together and how Iranians use dance in their culture.
All other courses have a fee.

My inspiration is to never forget the society, culture and history of my people. Living in Norway - the middleeastern culture isn't that popular. So I've been hiding this part of me, now the persian crazyness is unleashed! Extreme healing!! I don’t know about y’all - but I can feel really impatient about healing when I am injured! I recently hurt my foot, and it was driving me so banana pants that I had to do some extreme healing so I could dance and walk again!! Anyone else ever feel this deep desire to extreme heal!!?? I know @seraphinasupernova needed me to coach her into this extreme yonic inspired healing whether she liked it or not!! Also everyone must have @bharriz to crotchet them their yoni!

From the Persian Dance session this weekend 💃
It's been a hard struggle to get here and embrace my culture heritage from Iran. I've been trough a lot of racism and bullshit attitudes towards me and my identity as an iranian-norwegian woman. My voice (and body) will not be quiet anymore! Now I'm old enough to not care about this type of attitudes. I'm going to do what makes me happy. Persian Dance has always been a big part of me, that I am sharing with you now.
Citizens of Iran are at a risk for their lives just by dancing like this. I'm lucky I can dance and I am dancing for freedom! Will always stand by the brave women and men of Iran! ✊️
