For the first time, we are sharing the story of our journey. 👀
Since 2018, Black Girls Gather has grown from a grassroots response to the needs of racialized women on local campuses into a thriving community rooted in connection, care, and opportunity.
Today, we are excited to share our first Impact Report.
This report captures the collective impact of Black women uplifting Black women over the last seven years. From entrepreneurship and career development to community care and mentorship, the stories told in these pages belong to all of us.
This couldn’t have been possible without all of you - your commitment to our vision, and your support, wisdom, and care every step of the way. Thank you for being a part of our journey.
For us, this is a milestone worth celebrating! 🙏🏾🎉

The Arts are not optional.
Creative spaces aren’t disposable.
They are where communities process, reflect, and make sense of their lives.
The reflections we gathered are a powerful reminder of why the spaces we create matter so much and what’s at stake when they’re not recognized by the Nova Scotian government.

The post-breakfast glow is real! We caught up with some of our guests to hear about their morning at the IWD 2026 at Pier 21. From the “aha” moments to the new connections made, the feedback has been incredible. ❤️

We asked and you answered 🗣️
Community isn’t just about being in the same room, it’s about being seen, heard and uplifted without explanation. Here’s what support sounds like for these lovely women. ✨🤝🏾 Let us know in the comments how you show up for the women in your various communities, workplaces, homes and lives 👇🏽

When the Honorable Marci Ien took the stage, she didn’t just give a speech she gave us a mandate! To stand tall! And that’s exactly what we are doing this year.
We are still reflecting on what it means to live through the “dash”, making every moment between our start and our finish count for our community. ❤️👩🏽🤝👩🏾

Empowered women empower the room indeed 👏🏾👏🏾
We are still vibrating from the wisdom shared by our keynote speaker, the Honourable Marci Ien.
Thank you @marci.ien for pouring wisdom into a room full of leaders, mothers, business owners, parents and the next generation of leaders who are ready to bet on themselves.

What a morning! On Friday March 6th, we gathered at Pier 21 for our Annual International Women’s Day Breakfast, and our hearts are still full.
From powerful networking to a soul-stirring keynote by the Honourable Marci Ien. We celebrated the brilliance of racialized women and the strength of our allies. Thank you to everyone who showed up, donated and poured into this community.
