This past weekend, Clubs from across Rhode Island came together for the inaugural RI Boys & Girls Club March Madness Basketball Tournament hosted at the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket.
Teams from Pawtucket, East Providence, Newport, Providence, and Northern Rhode Island competed in an exciting night of basketball, sportsmanship, and teen leadership.
Beyond the competition, Keystone Club members collaborated on their National Project focused on Anti-Bullying awareness.
A huge thank you to all the teens, staff, and Clubs that helped make this first tournament such a success. The energy, teamwork, and community spirit made it clear that this is just the beginning.
🏆 Congratulations to the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket for bringing home the championship trophy!
We’re already looking forward to making this an annual Rhode Island tradition.

Did you know that you could be a storm chaser? Neither did we! Thank you to our awesome friends at @rhodeislandenergy who shared their stories and talked to BGCP teen members about job opportunities and different ways to navigate the future. Thank you for helping keep the doors open 🚪 for Providence youth.
Huge thank you to the Brown University Football Team @brownu_football for stepping up in a big way and helping us knock down the massive snow mounds outside the Boys & Girls Club @bgcprov . Because of your teamwork and muscle, kids can safely use the sidewalk again instead of walking in the street.

Thank you to our local @websterbank employees for volunteering at our Fox Point Clubhouse today! The kids had a blast “adopting” a stuffed animal and completing games to earn “BGC Bucks” to spend on services and food for their new pets. Webster volunteers led fun activities and made sure kids understood how to budget their income vs expenses for vet visits, grooming, food, and more. And a fun day like this wouldn’t be complete without pizza, which Webster generously donated for the club. Thank you to all the volunteers who joined us today!
