Hospitality Industry Update – South Carolina Alcohol Server Training DISCOUNT CODE
The course is normally $45, but partners can use code SSASC15, bringing the price to $35.70 per course and exam. Code valid through March 2, 2026 (end of day).
South Carolina’s new alcohol law (Act 42 – H.3430) is now in effect. Beginning January 1, 2026, ALL employees who serve alcohol for on-premise consumption, along with managers who oversee alcohol service, are required to complete a South Carolina Department of Revenue, approved alcohol server training program.
Important Deadline:
• Training must be completed by March 2, 2026
• New hires must complete training within 30 days of hire
Approved Option: ServSafe Alcohol South Carolina Online Course & Exam
• Fully online (classroom training is not accepted)
• Available in English and Spanish
• Secure proctored exam through Record+ (ProctorU)
• Not compatible with mobile devices — must be completed on a computer
• 49-question exam; 75% required to pass; no retakes
• State-specific certification issued
• Certificates accessed through MyDORWAY using your ServSafe certification number
Please make sure your teams are aware and working toward compliance before the deadline. This is a statewide requirement and applies to restaurants, bars, caterers, and any business serving alcohol on site.
