There’s something different about walking for something that’s yours, Something you built with your hands, Your heart, Your late nights, and Your hope.
@bfandf bfandf showed at Africa Fashion Week London.
And honestly, that still feels a bit surreal.
This walk wasn’t about being seen.
It was about seeing myself - in every stitch, every step, every quiet choice that led us here.
There was a moment, standing behind the curtain, I felt this heaviness in my chest. Not from nerves, but from the weight of it all.
The memory of how it started- small, slow, unseen, and the reality of where we are now.
What moved me most wasn’t the lights or the cameras , it was watching the pieces breathe.
Watching our work move, and knowing we didn’t rush to get here.
We took our time. We did it our way. And that was enough.
I walked for the team who carried this with me.
For the artisans who poured love into every stitch.
For everyone who’s ever worn our work and said, “This feels like something familiar.”
That means more than I can say.
We didn’t just show at fashion week, we showed that slow, careful, soulful work has a place in rooms like this.
And it’s only the beginning.
Thank you for seeing me.
Thank you for walking with us. For letting this moment be real.
I’ll be sitting in this feeling for a while.
Grateful to the British council for recognizing our work and providing a platform to support the creative community.
