Been a fun few days, built fully forged 3.2 VR6 and built stage 2 mama ZF8HP75 gearbox. A long way to go but weāre past the half way mark ready for the season
If you ever might had any doubts about @coatedracebearings you can throw away the doubt for sure. Iāve re used these mains and rod bearings twice now! Full season of 1200bhp+ pulls. As you guys have seen, Iāve starved the engine of oil on launches. Iāve had failed oil pumps and reving this engine to 8500rpm on a VR6 which is known for bottom end issues at rpm. Those bearings do exactly what they need to do. To be honest maybe they made them too goodā¦. If you can re use, they sell less. Shhhhh let it be our secret ššš¼šš¼
@walton_motorsport modified @turbosmarthq straight gate 50 for the tripple turbo RX7, Iāve also fitted a @bmwuk electric turbo actuator to component the BMW Xdrive drivetrain, I feel this single bit of kit turns complex compound turbo systems into an easy massssive power band. Why wouldnāt you want 1400bhp and to be in boost at 2500rpm?ā¦. Iām not joking when I say this latest setup is going to be wildā¦. It was wild enough though right? Nahh just you wait and see what I have in store for 2026 š¤£
We all seen it, the past 3 events Iāve had gate failures stopping me hit my goal! There comes a time where you just have to stop fucking about with cheap shit and buy the real deal. Iām absolutely over the moon with this new bit of kit. @turbosmarthq straight gate with bmw electronic actuator mount supplied from @walton_motorsport . Such a beauty! And a massive shout out to @minister_of_agriculture who sorted me out with it! This single peice here makes a masssive differce to the possibilities of compound turbo settups. Having a gate that isnāt effected by backpressure like a poppet style means controlling the HP turbo speed and maintaining flow to the LP turbos is going to be way more efficient!
