Simple modifications/options if you are having pain with squats.
Knee pain:
- Changing to a bench squat allows you to sit back in the heels more without falling over, shifting the load off of the knees, to the hip.
Low back/hip pain:
- Changing to a heel elevated squat allows you to be more upright, shifting load from the hips/low back to the knees.
Give these a try during flare ups to let the pain calm down!
