Colin (left) received bachelor’s degree in food industry management at Michigan State University and started working as a chef at a fine restaurant to become an influential chef in food and beverage industry. Colin decided to relocate to Chicago to join the Beyond Rice team with Chef DK.

DK (right) studied mathematics at University of Washington but he realized that his true passion was in culinary arts. He transferred to Kendall College in Chicago where he started to pursue his true passion in culinary arts. DK then worked at a Michelin 2 starred restaurant then decided to start his own food business, Beyond Rice.
