It serves as a poignant reminder of the not-so-distant past when women were denied fundamental rights, unable to possess their own bank accounts or even cast their votes. This day symbolises our collective journey towards empowerment, illustrating that the shackles of inequality can be shattered through unity and perseverance. It stands as a testament to our resilience and determination, reminding us that this is our era, where we have the power to break free from any chains that constrain our progress.
Together, we can continue to pave the way for a future where every woman is afforded the dignity, respect, and opportunities she deserves.
It is with profound sadness that I share the news of the passing of my beloved colleague and friend, Kris Robertson. Kris peacefully left this world on Saturday, June 24th at 6.30am. with his beloved wife Nicole beside him. His unwavering determination and resilience throughout his journey were truly inspiring. Even in the face of adversity, he faced every challenge with a positive spirit, never giving up om maximising the time he could spend with Nicole, their son Will and his treasured family and friends.
I knew Kris when I was a Coaching Academy student in 2005 and went on to work closely with him from 2008 when I took over The Coaching Academy as MD. Kris stood beside me, supporting, and growing the business at this very exciting time and I remember we had an incredible journey filled with joy and laughter and a lot of hard work.
Kris touched our lives in countless ways during his time with us, as a kind and lovely soul, he dedicated almost half his life to our shared endeavours. Recently he shared his sentiments, reflecting on his remarkable journey:
“The Coaching Academy defined my life. I am so grateful to everyone I met, to everything I personally achieved and the legacy I leave behind. So many of the amazing people I’ve had the honour of training/ mentoring/ supervising and assessing have gone on to achieve great things making a massive difference to countless lives. Wow! Kris possessed an extraordinary gift for communication, effortlessly infusing learning with joy and enthusiasm. He inspired all of us and his legacy will forever resonate through The Coaching Academy.
Today, we will remember Kris, let us cherish the memories we shared with him, the lessons we learned, and the profound impact he had on our lives. In his honour, let us strive to carry forward his spirit of resilience, kindness, and the pursuit of greatness.
Kris can rest in peace knowing that he has left an indelible mark on our hearts and within The Coaching Academy.
