We’re excited to welcome Rachael Walsh as our first Executive Director.
Rachael brings nearly a decade of nonprofit leadership experience and a deep commitment to strengthening Springfield’s neighborhoods. As our city continues to invest in vibrant, people-centered places, she will help guide the next chapter of Better Block SGF’s work alongside residents, community partners, and local leaders.
We’re excited for what’s ahead and grateful for the community that continues to support placemaking in Springfield.

Located just off East Primrose Street on our South campus, we, in partnership with @betterblocksgf , officially opened our new community space to relax, reenergize and connect.
The park, open daily from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. throughout the month of May, features:

🏓 Pickleball and cornhole,
🎨 A community mural,
🍴 Food trucks,
🎵 Live music and more!
