NYC Micro Wedding at The Ned NoMad | A Unique New York Wedding Venue for Small Weddings 🤍
Sam & Scott celebrated their NYC micro wedding at The Ned NoMad with just 14 of their closest family members. It was one of the coldest days of the year in the city, but we leaned fully into the indoor magic and The Ned delivered the most gorgeous, warm, light filled backdrops! Once the sun set, the entire library glowed with candlelight and it felt impossibly romantic, ooo-lala!
Their sweet ceremony took place in the library, surrounded by rich wood tones and historic character. Afterward, they hosted a candlelit dinner in the same space, transforming it into the most intimate private reception. With an immediate family only guest list of 14, the day felt intentional, relaxed, and incredibly meaningful.
The Ned NoMad, a sister property to the iconic Soho House, is such a beautiful option for couples searching for New York wedding venues for small weddings. The layered interiors, dramatic architectural details, and light flooded rooms make it one of the most unique NYC wedding locations for a micro wedding or elopement.
Because it was so cold outside, we photographed everything indoors and it was not a limitation at all. Every corner of this venue works beautifully for NYC micro wedding photography.

Had the privilege of photographing my friend’s wedding last November. Betsi and Jeff got married in Golden, Colorado, a former gold rush town right by the Rocky Mountains. I spent the weekend with them, starting with a welcome party for friends and family. It felt like one big gathering of everyone who played a role in their lives and genuinely loves these two.
The next day was crisp and sunny. We started at a beautiful Airbnb, where they did their first look on a quiet street out front. From there, we took a short drive to a stunning vista with an incredible view of the Rockies. It was freezing cold, but Betsi, Jeff, and everyone involved were absolute troopers. We spent the last 30 minutes of sunlight there, watching a golden sunset fall over spruce trees and mountains. It was especially meaningful that they chose that moment to read their private vows to each other.
After that, we headed back to Bella Colibri in Golden, where Betsi and Jeff had their ceremony and reception, complete with delicious Italian food. I had a wonderful time capturing these moments for the two of them. Photographing the wedding of another wedding photographer is always an honor, and I’m grateful to have been part of their story.
