LONDON MARATHON 2026
Still trying to process what just happened… because wow. That was hands down the toughest thing I’ve ever done but also the most electric, emotional, unreal experience of my life. The energy, the crowds, my friends/family screaming my name… I’ll never forget it ❤️
Marathon debut AND hit a 30k PB along the way đź’«
What most people don’t know is that I did all of this as a Type 1 Diabetic. While running 26.2 miles, I was also constantly fighting my own body, managing highs, lows, energy dips… it’s a marathon within the marathon.
By mile 18 I was in the trenches. Legs were cramping so had to stop a few times to walk. Blood sugars doing their own thing. But quitting was never an option.
Thank you to my cheer squad for meeting me along the way with sweets and water, I honestly couldn’t have done it without you ❤️
I’ve always refused to let diabetes define me or limit what I believe I can do and this right here is proof: YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS.
Special shout out to @runnpac and @jelilakinwande for giving me this opportunity đź’—
