Hey there, Iām Beth, a beauty photographer whoās always chasing great light.
I started out as a makeup artist. I love beauty, but I started having this feeling that I couldnāt shake: What if I tried shooting all of the concepts I had in my head? Picking up the camera was a lightbulb moment for me. It was a place where my love for beauty and storytelling could finally live in the same space. I was able to see the creative process through full circle, and it was SO gratifying!
My photography style: Movement, expression, and capturing real moments of authenticity on camera⦠Often really, really close up.
My shoot philosophy: Nail the brief, keep the energy high, and make the set feel like a place you actually want to be.
A few things that make me, me:
* Motherhood is hard. I have two kids who humble me every single day. Becoming a mom has been a transformation that informs how I shoot and often what inspires me.
* When Iām not shooting or wrangling toddlers, youāll probably find me in my garden. Gardening is my reset button. Itās a space where I can feel peaceful and alive. Thereās also something so satisfying about planting a seed and ending up with something I can actually feed my family. @GroovyDayGarden
* My husband and I live in a 1960s Eichler home weāve been slowly restoring. @TheEichlerHouse is a labor of love and a constant reminder of how good design and good light can completely shift your mood. Itās been the backdrop to many of my shoots.
I canāt wait to meet you! Letās make some magic together.
Hereās a flip-through my 2019 print portfolio for the nostalgia. šāØ
I was cleaning out my office this week and found one of many time capsules. Itās always interesting to seeing what I loved back then and what I *thought* defined me. The thing Iāve come to learn since then is that what I connect with can be ever-changing.
