Here's a sample from a new set of two-image books I'm making. They show left and right eye perspectives of simple objects and are meant for display. I feel a special connection to forsythia because my mother in law would always give us a nice bunch of cuttings from her garden when we lived in London. ✨

My book Peak Color has now been added to the following collections: University of Washington (Seattle), Ohio State University (Columbus), Indiana University (Bloomington), and Hennepin County Library Special Collections (Minneapolis). Thanks so much for the support! Peak Color is a multi-paneled photographic model of the building/dismantling/rebuilding of the archetypal landscape form of a mountain peak. This book links the processes of visual perception, memory, photography, and commercial color reproduction, and was partly inspired by René Daumal’s allegorical novel Mount Analogue. What would it look like if we could document the unseen processes of our perception? I use the visual language of digital imaging as a possible model, using a peak form to suggest the mountain-like shape of a histogram, a graph that shows the distribution of tonal values in a photograph. I cut and assembled the book block from individual brochures I designed and ordered from an online print-on-demand company, and I made the book cloth from fabric I designed and ordered from an online custom fabric company. All of these individual processes of color reproduction are translations of the original photographs, which were, in turn, translations of my direct encounter with the land. As the accordion unfolds, so does the labor of my experience. This book is available for purchase at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts ( @shopmnbookarts ) or through the shop on my website ().

Quick pics from the march in Minneapolis yesterday. I love my city, and I love these people. I'm here to remind you that Trump's goons are the only paid agitators here. We do this shit for free. #wethepeople #iceout #minneapolis

New shop! I am now selling books, prints, and other objects on my website. I'm in love with these tea towels that are part of my Willow Colorways project. This was inspired by childhood memories of "reading" wallpaper sample books with my mother. I made a small 4"x5" book, and there are also prints and these tea towels. The prints are very affordable, and are gorgeous hung in pairs or a grid. Please take a look and tell me what you think. There are only a small number of tea towels to start, but I will make more if these sell. They are a lovely cotton/linen fabric and sewn with mitered hems and a hanging loop. Let's put those photographs to work in your kitchen. 💚🩵💙🩷 My new book Peak Color is also available in my shop. #fabricphotographs #washablephotographs

My new artist's book is in this exhibition at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts through October 26. Peak Color is an accordion book with some pop-ups, bookcloth-wrapped board covers, foil stamp, and a slipcase. There's more information about this book on my website, and copes are for sale in the @mnbookarts shop (along with two more of my books).
