@parabolictheatre celebrated its 10th birthday yesterday. I was privileged to meet @owen___kingston and the team 7 years and 9 months ago and what a whirlwind it has been. From the 1940s alternate Britain to 2180s space to my immersive directing debut in our own venue, every show is an adventure. And every co-conspirator (aka actor) a joy to work with. Happy Birthday Parabolic - here’s to 10 years more!
Hugely excited to announce that I’m doing a new show in just over a month!!! I’m returning to @_voidspace_zine Live on Saturday 6th June with a 1950s murder mystery with a twist. It’s going to be a challenge but super excited for this.
Enjoyed a day off after a full on week playing Freddie Moore at @bridge_command - she’s not perfect but she tries to do her best. Her strong moral compass and tendency to accidentally cause a bit of chaos will continue to haunt me as I keep up with it…This was taken at the start of the week!
Three years ago today, I did my first emergency cover, joining @moonstonemurders on their residency to play Daisy Corden. Two and a half days to learn an intricate show, not an experience (or accent) I shall forget in a hurry!
Our audiences at @bridge_command are incredible - I was given this earlier this week and it’s been so beautifully designed! I’ve already read the contents and am continually in awe of our amazing fans and how much they buy into the world. #immersivetheatre
Thursday shout out to the powerhouses that are @natibogd and @emilycarding - to create the chaos that we do aboard our fictional ship is a joy every day and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Especially when it means constant despair over each other and the occasional disagreement. All in character of course!
World Theatre Day also coincides with the two year anniversary of @bridge_command opening. What a joy and privilege to have spent it in space, surrounded by incredible audiences. May there be many more anniversaries, more celebrations and excuses to dress up! (Thanks @arathisuresh12 for the third photo!)
Although I am not on this poster, my heart jumps every time I see an advertisement for @bridge_command on the tube. It is something extraordinary and I am so proud to be a part of it. Plus look at all my beautiful friends whose faces are on there!!
