🎈 Happy birthday to my sixth novel! 🎈 I have no problem saying that ASK ME ANYTHING is my favourite novel I’ve written so far ♥️ I love my main character, Mary-Elizabeth: party girl, agony aunt extraordinaire, superstar DJ, fashion queen, art historian. She contains multitudes! I’ve wanted to write a book set at university since I started writing novels, and the time has finally come. I feel like this was the time for me that I really started to figure myself out, politically, romantically, socially, and I’m so happy that I’ve got round to my campus romance novel. I’m so proud of it, and appreciate the work of everyone at @hotkeybooks in bringing it to life, and big thanks to @sarahlong_illustrates for the gorgeous cover! Happy reading! 📚

6am - 3:50pm: PT client sessions. 3:50pm - 4pm: eat a Biscoff Egg for strength. 4pm - 10pm: pound the pavements for @lewishamgreens one more time to 💚 GET OUT THE VOTE 💚 Getting involved with the Green Party at a very local level has been a complete joy for me: meeting my literal neighbours, talking to people about the potential benefits of having Mike, Maria and Justin as councillors, witnessing the remarkable amount of time and care spent by people who have busy life es and families and jobs (thinking especially of amazing @charlotte.aberdein !), even just walking down streets I’ve never walked down before and developing really strong opinions about letterbox design. I HOPE for a Green win in Perry Vale and elsewhere in Lewisham, and I’m proud to be an active member of a party that wants to make hope normal again 💚

If I knit a bonnet and it’s Easter weekend, does that make it an Easter bonnet? 🐣
I’d been wanting to make something in more than one colour and this Wool & The Gang / Damson Madder bonnet was speaking to me. I’m SO HAPPY with the colours I chose and how it’s turned out! I learned so many new things! And the weather is still cold enough to justify a bonnet!
Ideally I didn’t want to buy the whole kit just to get the pattern, but that’s the only way you’re able to do it and luckily they had 25% off so it worked out ok £-wise, and now I have the pattern to make again! I finished it on the bus on the way to drinks last night which enabled all the gals in attendance to try it on, and based on their reactions I am CERTAINLY making it again! I think it’s such a perfect customisable gift, as well as a satisfying thing to knit!
Not sure what my next make will be, but I’m excited to find out…
